History of District Six

District 6 was Chartered June 29th, 1969 that is the date on our charter!  But on our plaque of Past Commanders it starts with the first Commander John W. Loos who served 2 years 1948 - 49 - 50.  The only plausible excuse that has been given for this is redistricting in 1969.  If you know of another reason please let the historian know, maybe the charter was lost, stolen or destroyed!

The past district commanders plaque is getting old and worn out!  Please make donations to restore the plaque to VFW District 6 Florida attention: Plaque restoration!
